Thank you for considering a donation to The Abbey and joining us on the journey of transforming the lives of Abbey students.
We are incredibly thankful for the generosity of our alumnae and supporters, who enable us to continue to embody excellence, inspiration and empowerment in the education of our students.
The amazing help of donors supports the excellent education and opportunities at The Abbey, including our bursary scheme. Designed to offer the right level of assistance to the students most in need, your gift will be transformational, and provide an excellent education for young people, regardless of their background or life circumstances.
Many students have benefited from the generosity of our supporters, but we need to keep building on our legacy. Every donation, no matter its size, makes an enormous difference to our pupils and their future.
Why we need your support
Unlike many schools, The Abbey does not have an endowment fund to draw on to invest in our estate, our resources or our bursary programme. We need to rely on the generosity and support of like-minded people, those who share our commitment to academic excellence, breadth of education and learning and wish to see the School flourish.
We wish to remain at the forefront of innovations in teaching, pioneering innovative use of technology, getting girls into our top UK universities, and preparing our students for careers yet to be defined.
Whatever support you may be able to offer, we would be truly grateful.
Our funds and campaigns
The Abbey Community Fund – supporting us to continue to encourage innovation and providing breadth in education across the School. The Community Fund enables us to raise money for extra educational experiences, equipment and support the areas of greatest need alongside our bursary programme.
The 1887 Bursary Fund – offers means-tested transformational bursaries to those students who have qualified academically for a place in the school but are in significant need of financial assistance. This transformational fund allows students to embark on an educational journey that opens up opportunity for them and the communities to which they go on to contribute. Read more about the difference bursaries can make here.
Legacy Fund (The Blenheim Society) – The Abbey is enormously grateful to those who choose to make a gift in their Will. To recognise this generous contribution, all who indicate an intention to leave a gift in their Will to The Abbey become members of The Blenheim Society. You will create an enduring legacy and ensure that The Abbey flourishes for future generations.
Capital campaign – allows you to support long term plans to redevelop our estate to build on our world-class education offering.

I would like to make a payroll gift
There are over 350 companies in the UK that run Payroll Giving Schemes and over 250 of these, match or even double donations their employees make to a charity. Through payroll giving your donation is deducted from your salary before tax. Each £1 you give may only cost you 80p, 60p or 55p if you are a higher rate taxpayer.
Your employer will then send your donation to their approved Payroll Giving Agency who will pass it on, plus any matched employer giving, to The Abbey.
Please check if your employer is on our list of participating companies below.
If not listed, then please check with your HR or Payroll Giving company, who will be able to provide you with the necessary details. Please do let us know and we will add your company to our list.
Please do take part in this scheme if it is available as it has advantages to all stakeholders concerned and can substantially add to your donation to the School.
You can also set up a payroll gift at Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), see link below.
