Learning enhancement

All girls are taught various study skills and examination techniques in their different subjects. Our teaching approach is adapted to the needs of each pupil - providing extra stretch for the gifted and talented and individual support for those with learning needs.

In Upper III (Year 7) girls are introduced to CHAMPS - an on-line ‘learn to learn’ course as part of the ‘Skills for Life’ programme.

We were delighted to receive the NACE (National Association for Able Children in Education) Challenge Award which recognised our school-wide provision for the able, gifted and talented. As a selective school, we view all of our girls as able, gifted or talented in some sphere and work to ensure that the breadth of enrichment opportunities we offer is provided in such a way that no girl is excluded. Our aim is to enrich the learning experience of all girls, providing broad academic extension as a matter of course and looking to stimulate and foster intellectual curiosity.
