The Duke of Edinburgh's Award
Girls entering the Sixth Form have the opportunity to continue working towards the Duke of Edinburgh's Award at Gold, Silver or Bronze level, or to take up the Award for the first time at the level of their choice. There is a special opportunity for students to join a Gold Expedition group, which will begin training in the Lower Sixth for an assessed expedition at every level and the Gold Award also includes a residential activity.
The Gold Award especially is highly regarded by universities and employers because, to achieve it, the participant will have risen to a number of challenges and shown sustained commitment and enthusiasm. Programmes will be individually constructed around the interests and skills of the student.
