Before and After School Care
The Junior School operates an excellent, well-attended programme for girls in both the Early Years and the Junior School. The morning session runs from 7.45am until 8.30am daily at an additional cost of £3.00. The afternoon session runs from 3.30pm for Nursery, Reception, Transition and Preparatory girls and from 3.45pm for LI, UI, UII and LIII girls until 5.45pm at a cost of £7.50. Your daughter will be in a safe and stimulating environment, enjoying various activities such as indoor crafts and outdoor play. (N.B. Childcare vouchers can be used to pay for this facility as it is an OFSTED registered programme.)
The Senior school offers a free, supervised homework room between 3.45pm and 5.45pm where girls are able to work quietly whilst waiting to be collected for the day.
Holiday Provision
In response to requests from working parents, we are delighted to announce a newly-extended holiday programme for pupils at The Junior School and Early Years. This will operate during each half term and for most weeks of the longer school holidays.
As early bookings aid the organisation of activities, we are now offering early booking discounts. We continue to offer an 'inclusive' fee, not charging for any additional activities and only request that the girls bring a packed lunch with them. (Please note Summer Term Discounts are available for bookings made before Friday 23 May).
Timetables of events are displayed on the Holiday Provision Board in Kensington House and are updated regularly.
Planned activities for this term:
Bring a friend week - w/c Monday 4 August 2008 (Theatre) - Your daughter can bring a girl friend (not an Abbey pupil) to join them for the week. Both children at £225 for the week (standard day) or £255 (extended day). Early booking discout of 25% for each child.
Bring a sibling week - w/c Monday 11 August 2008 (The Abbey Olympics 2008) - Your daughter can bring a sister (aged 3-10) or brother (aged 3-7) to join them for the week. Both children at £225 for the week (standard day) or £255 (extended day). Early booking discount of 25% for each child.
These weeks can be booked in conjunction with the other discounts available. Please note childcare vouchers are accepted.
All bookings made before Friday 16 May for half term and Friday 20 June for summer will be guaranteed. Booking confirmation will be sent on receipt of payment. Any bookings made after these dates will incur a £5 late booking fee and will be subject to a place being available.
