University Destinations
The vast majority of girls go on to further their education through specialist colleges and universities of their choice once they leave The Abbey School.
University destinations are varied, however it is not uncommon for an Abbey girl to be accepted for a place in Oxford or Cambridge.
The following is a summary of the most popular university choices for our 2006 leavers in order of the number of places:
Other university destinations include Aston, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, De Montfort, Durham, East Anglia, Edinburgh, Hull, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle, Portsmouth, Reading, Roehampton, Royal Acadamy of Music, Royal Veterinary College, Sheffield, St. Andrews, Surrey, Warwick, West of England Bristol and York.
The subject choices are vast, ranging right across both sciences and the arts. The most popular degree in 2005 was Medicine, with Languages (Modern and Classics), Politics, Geography, Psychology and Law following.
