ASROGA
I like to think that ASROGA is a group of friends of varied ages, who share a common background and education. While at school, girls were together every day for five, seven or even twelve years, and the bonds formed then are particularly precious. It is very good that we have an opportunity, not only to renew those friendships, but also to maintain our link with The Abbey School, which goes from strength to strength.
Following a period of change and opportunity the Association is as strong today as it has ever been. The school has taken on the administrative work of ASROGA leaving the Committee free to decide future policy, plan reunions and administer the Benevolent Fund. Members of the Association are invited to school functions, plays and concerts. Regional reunions have taken place across the country with an annual reunion and AGM at the school.
Reunions in recent years have included celebrations of the centenary of ASROGA in 2003 and the centenary of the school building in 2005. Reports of the 2003, 2005 and 2006 ASROGA Reunions are available as downloaded documents from the ASROGA page on the 'Members Only' area of this site. The next reunion is planned for 26 April 2008 and will be held at The Plough at Wokingham.
If you would like to join ASROGA you may download a membership request form. I look forward to meeting you in the near future and wish you a very happy membership of our Association.
