2005 Site Centenary Celebration and ASROGA Reunion
In 2005 The Abbey School, Reading celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the move to the Kendrick Road site. In 1905 Reading High School, which in 1913 became The Abbey School, outgrew its cramped home in London Road and moved into its brand new building 'in agricultural fields on Kendrick Hill'. Numerous additions to the building have been made over the years but in 2005 we celebrated the centenary of the original move.
Celebrations for this event took place over Friday 1 and Saturday 2 July. The ASROGA annual reunion and AGM was held on Saturday 2 July and over 150 Old Girls enjoyed a day revisiting the School. A Commemoration Service was held celebrating one hundred years of growth and development in order to be at the cutting edge of girls' education. Mrs Stanley gave a most enjoyable presentation on the history of the schools' expansion over one hundred years.

Reports of the 2003, 2005 and 2006 ASROGA Reunions are available as a downloaded document from the ASROGA page on the 'Members Only' area of this site.
