Green Park Challenge

Girls at The Abbey School ran away with several categories in this year’s Green Park Challenge.  The race, held prior to the Reading Half Marathon saw the Abbey trio of Ffion, Saorla and Isobel combine to win frist place in the 9 and under girls' race;  Saoirse, Amelie and Emma dominated the 11 and under girls' race finishing first, second and third; Abbey girls also took minor places in the 15 and under and 17 and under races. These girls were invited to an awards evening when they were awarded prizes by GB rower Marcus Bateman, along with each winning team receiving money for the school.
