Storyteller visits Early Years

As part of The Abbey School's Book Week celebrations, we were delighted to welcome professional storyteller, Patrick Buckingham, back into Knell House on Thursday 24th November.
Nursery and Reception girls were entranced by Patrick's mix of myths and fairy tales from all over the world.
Nursery girls were read a delightful story about farm animals in which they enthusiastically participated, making the noises of all the animals on the farm!
Patrick treated Reception girls to a Christmas story where the Man in the Moon had to light the way for Santa as Rudolph had a cold and his nose wasn't 'glowing' as usual! There were cries of 'More! More!' after Patrick finished, as the girls had enjoyed his story telling so much!
Mrs Deakin, Head of Early Years, commented: "We always look forward to Patrick's visits - he is such a wonderful story teller who really engages the girls with his exuberance and enthusiasm."
