Structured Play
Throughout the Early Years Centre the majority of learning is achieved through structured play activities. These are sensitively supported by teaching staff in order to encourage the girls to apply previously learned skills and thus develop independent learning.
Each activity is planned with an anticipated learning outcome which is linked directly to the 'footsteps'.
At least 50% of these activities take place, to some extent, outside the classroom.
Some activities are initiated by the children themselves and some by the adults.
