Latin in the Sixth Form
The study of Latin in the Sixth Form aims to develop further the work done in the earlier years. Authors are studied in greater depth and independent reading is encouraged. Girls are taught in small groups and lively discussion is promoted. Students are encouraged to develop their own interest in different areas and aspects of the course.
Much emphasis is placed upon enjoyment of the subject and the students can happily combine Latin with any other mixture of subjects. The number of girls opting for Latin in the Sixth Form has been most encouraging over recent years and it is hoped that this trend will continue. Our A Level Latinists, both at AS Level and A2 Level continue to gain impressive results.
