Economics Department
Economics is the study of how groups of individuals make decisions about the allocation of scarce resources.
Economics is a vital element in both the IB and the A-level curriculum, as a social science it provides a link between the science subjects and the arts. The curriculum is enriched by the teaching of Economics as an academic subject to a consistently high standard. As it is taught in the sixth form it provides students with the ability to develop a subject with academic prowess accepted by the universities as a “hard” A-level.
