Art & Design (Fine Art)
In Art the aim is to help students to pursue their own field of enquiry, to realise their imaginative potential, and to externalise their ideas in a visual form. Candidates are encouraged to decide on their own content, style and interpretation of each set project.
The course develops the student's intellectual, imaginative, creative and intuitive powers. Abbey artists are renowned for their high level of skill and creative ability. Art combines with ANY A Level to provide a broad academic/creative base for many University courses. Many students who study art at The Abbey School choose to continue the subject at University or Art School.
