Watersports Trip
Each year the Physical Education department offers girls in Upper III (Year 7) the opportunity to take part in a multi-activity watersports holiday to the South of France.
The course is organised by Rockley Watersports and their centre is situated on fresh water lakes with sandy beaches just south of Bordeaux.
The girls are able to sample a variety of activities, which include sailing, windsurfing, raft building and mountain biking. Full instruction is given and the centres are well equipped with fleets of dinghies including Toppers, Picos, Hobbie 13 Catamarans and a few Lasers. During the week the girls sleep in permanent framed tents with 4-6 of their friends.
During the evenings the girls are kept busy with various other activities, including obstacle courses, volleyball and rounders as well as enjoying shopping trips to a nearby town. They are of course, also given the opportunity to sample the French cuisine.
