Events
AS and A level students participate in a German Conference Day each March. This Day is entirely in German. It consists of several lectures covering various Language Topics, often dealt with in a novel and amusing way. Former pupils have found such days to be extremely valuable as detailed advice is given on examination techniques and preparation, as well as materials relevant to several of the language topics.
We celebrate Modern Languages Day each year, with our French and Spanish colleagues. We begin the day by singing, in Assembly, a hymn using the three languages and throughout the day there is an array of different activities. At lunch, of course, we are able sample some of the culinary delights of the French, Spanish and German cuisines.
