Clubs and activities

A programme has been planned to offer students in Year 8 (LIV) opportunities as part of the Activ8 programme to further develop their skills in this subject. As well as being a fun activity, it is designed to extend their knowledge of healthy eating whether it is a snack, lunch or main meal.
A normal session lasts fifty minutes and so there are obvious time constraints which have an influence on the choice of activities

The Young Chef competition is supported overwhelmingly by large numbers of the girls and we have had many successes over the years that we have participated. We have won the Key stage 4 competition on three occasions as well as reaching 2nd place on two occasions and third place once.
Taster days are held for girls in Years 5 and 6 of both The Abbey Junior School and interested students from other schools and it is always thoroughly enjoyed by all.
