It has been very evident in recent weeks that the pressure on students for university places has become a key issue in the press, so it is good to be able to report a bumper year of offers to date.
This year we have had 109 applicants and so far 12 students have received offers from Oxbridge, all our medics have offers, 54 students have received offers from all 5 universities and nearly all have 2 or more offers. University course offers include Anthropology, Biochemistry, Business, Engineering, English, French, Law and Maths to name but a few. In terms of destinations, girls have offers from Durham, UCL, Imperial, LSE, Bristol, Nottingham, Bath, Leeds, Manchester, Sussex, Exeter and Cardiff.
This whole process is very demanding and requires a huge amount of support, especially in the preparation of UCAS references and personal statements. This is something which the Sixth Form prides itself on and my sincere thanks goes to all the staff involved in continuing to help including the many hours of individual attention.
