Sixth Form French and Business Studies students from The Abbey attended a one-day Conference – ‘Your Future in Europe’ - at the magnificent Palais des Congrès in Paris. The day was hosted by Dermot Murnaghan, formerly of BBC Breakfast and now of Sky News Today, and speakers of extremely high calibre addressed the students. Shami Chakrabarti, Director of Liberty was an inspiring speaker and the founder of Innocent gave the audience an insight into what it takes to launch a new product across Europe.
The girls found time for a sightseeing tour of the Parisian highlights including the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. A trip to Paris would not have been complete without some shopping and a cup of coffee in the brasserie.
