The years in The Abbey Senior School offer girls many opportunities to develop existing talents as well as discovering new ones. For many girls these are academic areas, as they are introduced to new subjects such as Latin, Spanish or German and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as well as exploring other subjects in greater depth. We also pride ourselves on how many girls display talents for creative subjects such as Art, Music and Drama or Food or Textiles. Our investment in new facilities and increased focus on ICT shows our commitment to be at the forefront of girls' education.
I am always so impressed and proud when I attend one of the many music concerts or plays or present teams or individuals with trophies for victories in various sports. It is not only the level of success that is satisfying, but also the knowledge that girls are being exposed to new areas of interest that for some may turn into a passion for their lifetime.
We have a highly dedicated body of teachers who both support and inspire the girls and encourage them to aim high. Most girls join at age 11 into Upper III (Year 7), but we welcome enquiries for other years of entry and offer Bursaries and Scholarships.
