Upper III (year 7) girls soaked up the sun on a recent language and culture weekend in Rue.
Staying at Le Chateau du Broutel, the girls visited the sealife centre in Boulogne, practised their French at a local market and were taught how to make authentic mayonnaise. The group visited St Valery on the Somme estuary where they were encouraged to speak to locals about the French way of life, before heading to the Aqualand Waterpark to cool down. An afternoon at a chocolate factory and the evening disco were some of the highlights of the weekend.
