Whilst many girls join the Junior School in Preparatory (Year 1) after their Reception year in The Abbey Early Years Centre, new pupils enter into many year groups. As a result the Junior School is very good at helping new girls to settle in very quickly. There are two forms per year group until the end of Upper I (Year 4) when the Upper Junior building allows us to expand to three forms per year group for Upper II and Lower III (Years 5 and 6).
Each year group has form tutors who are experts in their age group and who teach girls for most subjects, working alongside the Specialist teachers. We hope these pages give you a good insight into the year group which most interests you (as well as providing a useful guide to the traditional year group names that we use at The Abbey!)
