Uniform
Winter Uniform
- Regulation dark green fleece jacket
- Regulation rain jacket - can be zipped onto the above jacket
- Regulation pinafore dress – zipped style for Prep and Trans, button style for Lower I and Upper I.
- Regulation skirt for Upper II and Lower III
- Regulation green and white blouse
- Regulation green pullover (with school badge)
- Scarf, gloves and fleece hat in regulation green.
- Regulation green overall (either smock type or tied at the back)
- Green knee length socks or tights. (On occasion all girls need to wear tights). On swimming days girls are asked to wear socks rather than tights.
- Black gym shoes (elasticated slip on or velcro fastening)
- T bar, strap or lace-up black school shoes. (Pumps, toeless or strappy style shoes are NOT suitable for school wear).
Summer Uniform - to be worn in the summer term and may be worn up until half-term in the Autumn term.
- Regulation dark green blazer with school badge, to be worn to and from school.
- Regulation green rain jacket
- Regulation green striped summer dress. (Optional for Lower III)
- Regulation green pullover (with school badge)
- White socks, short or knee length
- Plain white cotton sun hat for the garden (optional - available from the Kensington Office)
- T bar, strap or lace-up black school shoes. (Pumps, toeless or strappy style shoes are NOT suitable for school wear).
- Black gym shoes (elasticated slip on or velcro fastening)
Sports Wear
- Regulation white cotton polo shirt with school badge
- Regulation green shorts (Prep to Upper I)
- Green regulation skort (UII to LIII only).
- Regulation large green drawstring bag
- Sports bag with crest (optional for Upper II to Lower III- NOT for younger girls)
- Leotard – black (compulsory Lower I to Lower III)
- Regulation sweatshirt and jogging bottoms
- Regulation tracksuit bottoms (optional for UII-LIII)
- White non-marking trainers and white sports socks
- Shin guards and gum shields (Lower I to Lower III)
- Green hockey socks (Lower I to Lower III)
- House colour polo shirt (optional) -available from Second Hand Uniform Shop
Notes on sports wear:
PE clothes should be brought home at regular intervals for washing. Those girls in UII and LIII who compete in Athletics and cross country will also require regulation games shorts.
Swimming
- Regulation plain black swimsuit -no coloured trimmings or markings
- Regulation swimming cap in House colours: Carrington – purple; Ducat - red; Kensington – blue; Paget - yellow. These may be obtained from the Junior School office in Kensington House
- Towel and waterproof swimming bag - each girl provides her own
Girls will be notified as to which day they swim.
General
- School bag – regulation green with school badge (no other type of bag please). Book bag for Prep and Trans and rucksack style from LI upwards.
- Hair – hair which reaches the shoulders must be tied back with green, black or brown hairbands, ribbons or scrunches. Hair slides should be green, black or metallic and functional in style. Hair styles which incorporate coloured ribbons, threads or beads are not part of the school uniform
- All items of uniform should be named with sewn in labels. Alll equipment and personal posessions should be clearly marked with the owner's name
- Watches and jewellery are not part of the school uniform, (watches may be worn in Lower III)
- For safety reasons only plain studs may be worn by girls with pierced ears and they must be removed or taped for PE
- We expect all girls (Prep to Lower III) to wear a blazer with their summer uniform
Purchase of Uniform
Stevensons, the school outfitter, will be in school every Monday 1.00 pm – 5.00 pm, Thursday 2.00 pm – 5.00 pm and Saturday 10.00 am – 1.00 pm during term time at 21 Kendrick Road, tel: 01727 814364
Items found to be unsuitable can be returned in good order. You can also order direct from the supplier: www.stevensons.co.uk and their current price list is available at the bottom of the page.
They are opening on additional days and hours for new girls joining the school in September. Please ring them direct to make an appointment for your daughter’s fitting. TELEPHONE ORDERS
You can ring during school shop hours to place orders/make payments and then collect items from the school shop
Second-hand uniform can be purchased (as available) from the Parents’ Association shop which is also located at 21 Kendrick Road. Core opening times are Monday 1.30 - 3.30pm but we extend our hours to 1.30 - 4.30 during peak uniform buying times. Please note that the second-hand uniform shop only accepts bankers' cheques or cash.
