We have a flexible drop-off time to relieve traffic pressure and increase convenience for parents. Girls can be dropped off from 8.15 am and must be in school by 8.40 am. Registration is in the form room and girls then proceed to assembly. Every Wednesday, assembly is led by Mrs Stanley who presents awards for achievement and effort and the weekly House Cup. Each form stages one assembly during the year to which their parents are also invited.
Morning lessons (of 35 or 40 minutes) follow as per the day's timetable and there is a morning break when girls are encouraged to play games outside, weather permitting. Lunch time depends on year group and girls will eat their lunch and play with friends and often take part in one of the many clubs on offer. Afternoon lessons are as timetabled and each day girls will have specialist lessons in different parts of the school as well as in their form room. There are eight lessons each day and some subjects will be taught for double periods.
Key Stage 1 girls finish school at 3.30 pm and Key Stage 2 girls at 3.45 pm and can be collected from their respective doors. Any girls not collected are then supervised in the library until 4.15 pm to allow parents flexibility in pick-up time.
Before School Care (from 7.45 am) and After School (until 5.45pm and including a snack) are very popular and can be booked as a regular slot or on an ad hoc basis provided spaces are available. There are also many clubs and sports fixtures after school extending opportunities for girls.
