On Wednesday afternoon, in preparation for their trip to Bournemouth next week, Preparatory (Year 1) were treated to a super seaside workshop. The Girls enjoyed learning about seaside holidays of the past 150 years. They travelled back in time to 1850 and they certainly looked the part, dressing up in historical costumes. In 1900 they were fascinated to learn about bathing machines. Next, they landed in 1950 with inner tubes to play with in the sea and more modern swimming costumes. Finally they arrived in the year 2000 complete with sun cream, a picnic in a cool bag and a body board for the sea. Oh we did like to be beside the seaside!
