Meeting His Royal Highness

Meeting His Royal Highness Hampton Court

It was on St David’s day appropriately, Monday 1 March, that Year 4 visited the remaining palace of Henry VIII, the greatest king of the Welsh Tudor dynasty. The daffodils were not in bloom but it was a lovely sunny day to show-off the splendour of Hampton Court. The Royal Apartments were breathtaking and the girls followed this by seeing the new interactive Exhibition about the Young Henry VIII.

Both classes were treated to a Tudor kitchen experience and one lucky girl was given the chance to be the “spit boy”.  The day concluded with a visit to the Chapel Royal and the Tudor Gardens.

The girls greatly enjoyed seeing the Knot garden as they hope to recreate a Tudor Knot Garden at school!
