The girls in Transition (Year 2) had a very busy day when they visited HMS Victory and the Blue Reef Aquarium, in Portsmouth. The morning was spent exploring the Royal Naval Museum and HMS Victory, imagining what life must have been like aboard the ship during the Battle of Trafalgar.
Despite the torrential rain as they travelled to Portsmouth, as they approached the Historic Dockyard, the skies cleared and the sun shone! So they were able to enjoy their picnic lunch at Southsea, watching the many boats plying to and fro across the Solent.
The highlight of the day for many of the girls was the visit to The Blue Reef Aquarium where they saw a variety of sea creatures, including the waving stingrays and finding Nemo’s friends, the clownfish!
