On 22 June, as a culmination to their Seaside topic, Preparatory (Year 1) visited Bournemouth. The girls were extremely excited as they boarded the coach - and not even the grey skies or blustery wind dampened their enthusiasm! The girls walked to the end of the pier and compared photographs of the pier 100 years ago with what it looked like today. They then enjoyed an ice cream before boarding the Land Train for a return trip to Boscombe. The highlight of the day was building sandcastles on the beach and paddling in the very chilly sea! Although the sun did not shine, a fabulous time was had by all.
