Nursery girls had a top(ping) time when they visited Pizza Express in St Mary's Butts last week!
The girls visited as part of the restaurant's Schools Education programme. With the help of resident chefs Steve and Tony, the girls learnt how pizza dough is made and tried their hand at kneading before adding tomato puree and toppings of their choice.
Pizza Express presented the girls with a Junior Pizzaiolo Certificate for their efforts and commended the girls on their excellent behaviour and listening skills during their time as 'chefs'!
"The girls really loved the opportunity to prepare something which they were able to share with their families at home", Mrs Walton, Early Years Practitioner and trip organiser, commented. "There was a real sense of achievement for the girls in seeing their pizza develop from dough and being able to choose their favourite toppings."
