Reception girls are having great fun with their Food topic this half term.
Milkshake Mayhem!
Mrs Allen-Hall explained how milk helps us to grow and develop and its importance to newborn babies. The girls loved making their own milkshakes with different flavourings and enjoyed the fruits of their labour in the role play cafe!
Cheese
The girls tasted and compared cheeses from around the world. Edam, Feta, Cheddar, Emmental and Red Leicester were all nibbled and enjoyed and the girls noted their likes and dislikes on a scoring sheet – Edam came top, with the girls enjoying its creaminess and the red wax coating!
International Food Tasting
All the girls were invited to bring in foods from around the world for a tasting experience! A huge variety of food was enjoyed by the girls, including sushi, Indian, Korean Egg Omelettes, Soda Bread, Welsh cakes and Italian cheeses. Mrs Allen-Hall commented: "The girls were willing to try everything offered and really enjoyed the opportunity to try new tastes and textures with their friends."
