Early Years girls raised £76 for Action Medical Research on Friday 25th June, simply by bringing their teddy bear into school with them.
Knell House held a 'Bring Your Bear' Day in support of the charity's 'Touching Tiny Lives' Appeal. The key aims of the charity are to support medical research to reduce the high rate of premature births every year in the UK, and to help prevent life-threatening complications during pregnancy. The appeal is also working towards improving care for sick and vulnerable babies.
The girls had a fantastic day with their bears, the highlight of which was a Teddy Bears Picnic in the Knell House garden!
Mrs Allen-Hall, Head of Early Years, commented:"The girls made a fantastic effort bringing their bears into school with them, it was lovely to witness the old-fashioned pleasure that the Teddy Bears Picnic brought."
