Acclaimed children's author Julia Jarman visited The Abbey School on Tuesday, 4th October and spent some time reading to the girls in Knell House.
Mrs Jarman, who has written over 80 books, delighted both Nursery and Reception children with her narrations of some of her most famous stories, including 'Big Red Bath' and 'Class 2 at the Zoo', but also some of her newer works such as 'Class 3 At Sea' and 'Bears on the Stairs'. The majority of girls are familiar with Julia's stories and loved joining in and guessing which animals would be next to jump into the Big Red Bath!
Mrs Deakin, Head of Early Years, said: "This is the second time Julia has visited us and we loved welcoming her back to Knell House. The girls really enjoyed hearing her renditions and sat enraptured for the duration of her visit!"
