The Parents’ Association at The Abbey School organised a very successful Christmas Fair on Saturday 28 November to get pupils and their families in the festive spirit. Organiser Dawn Davies was delighted with the turn-out - “We had over 1200 people paying at the door and it was a very busy and happy event.”
The Fair was officially opened by Father Christmas and his elves and many of the younger girls then visited him in his Grotto. Visitors were able to do some Christmas shopping and the children enjoyed the variety of different stalls which were spread all over the school.
Girls were involved in many ways - manning stalls, making decorations and prizes, face-painting and organising crafts and games and there was music from choirs of both the Junior and Senior Schools.
This was a wonderful event and many thanks must go to all the parents and girls whose hard work helped make it such a memorable afternoon.
