Able to seat thirty, our brand new conference/board room provides the most professional and ambient setting for your meeting. Equipped with state of the art technology including a 60" screen/monitor (with TV tuner), high performance audio, DVD/CD player and attendee computer sockets, the conference room is situated at the top of the new Jane Austen Wing, with adjacent lift and conveniences.
For bookings outside school hours, attendees can enjoy a catered reception on the ground floor and further catering facilities are of course available during the day, with refreshments served directly to the conference room.
We have an excellent in-house team of audio-visual and IT technicians who are able to accommodate most requests.
The Richards Hall is a superb staged venue for your business seminar, dining function or musical performance. The stage is equipped with a fully automated 20 foot drop-down screen and projector and with seating available for up to five hundred attendees or 200 for banqueting events, the hall is a versatile and popular choice of venue. Full AV facilities are available either from a custom built control centre or from the stage. A grand piano provides the perfect backdrop to a dining function and also forms the basis for a full orchestral performance.
The Hardcastle Hall is The Abbey School's original school hall and it is perhaps still the most attractive. The hall is accessed through the school's main entrance and reception, complete with lounge area. The high arched ceiling makes for superb acoustics and is a popular choice for more intimate performances with a capacity seated audience of 120, seminars, dining functions and receptions.
A large balcony, complete with organ, allows excellent viewing of events in the hall, as well as assisting considerably with musical events.
Six classrooms attached to the hall allow for break out facilities for individual workshops during a main event in the hall.
Kensington Hall, at the Junior School, is a large multi purpose room combining gymnastic and indoor sports facilities with a stage area for performances, whether plays or musical events. Full AV facilities including a drop down screen are available.
This versatile and well equipped hall provides a flexible area for lectures and performances. Acoustics are excellent and a lighting bar, along with modern state of the art AV facilities makes it the perfect location for events where a high standard of sound and lighting is required.
Four adjacent individual practice rooms allow for musical workshops to take place during a main event in the hall.
Our computer suite, equipped to 21st century standards, is available for training and other use for up to 30 delegates.
Accommodating up to 180 delegates in a tiered air conditioned environment, the Lecture Theatre is an ideal venue for presentations. Full AV facilities are available from a movable console.
A grand piano provides the perfect accompaniment to a musical performance in excellent acoustic conditions.
With its comfortable furnishings and relaxed and friendly atmosphere our Sixth Form common room is the ideal venue for informal events. Its location, close to the Richards Hall and Lecture Theatre, means it is often hired as an informal gathering and refreshment room. It also has its own kitchen and dining area.
