Abbey Commercial Enterprises Ltd (ACE) is the trading subsidiary of The Abbey School. ACE is responsible for all non-academic commercial activity within the school, which includes the letting of the School's facilities, as well as overseeing trading opportunities. The objective of ACE is to maximise the use of the school facilities and services in order to generate income for re-investment within the school.
The school has a range of modern and versatile amenities and these facilities are available for hire for a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities ranging from conferences and training courses to musical, theatrical and sporting events, children’s parties and private receptions.
The school is equipped with 21st century technology and these resources, along with our excellent catering service means The Abbey School, through Abbey Commercial Enterprises, is the ideal venue for a wide variety of corporate, private and sporting events. We will tailor your event to your individual requirements and you will be supported by professional on-site support throughout.
In addition to general classrooms, the school has four halls, an air conditioned tiered lecture theatre, a computer suite, language lab and our superb new conference suite. All of these rooms can be made available for business meetings, conferences, training seminars, exhibitions, trade fairs and non residential courses.
We can also cater for your corporate event and private entertaining, company presentations, award ceremonies, wedding receptions, birthday, engagement and anniversary celebrations and Christmas parties.
The school is easily accessible, located close to the centre of Reading, 30 minutes to London by train and with convenient access to and from the M4. The school is within easy reach of a wide selection of hotels and guest houses.
All bookings are subject to the demands of our academic calendar and most facilities are available for hire out of school hours, including evenings, weekends and during school holidays.
Our in house top-class caterers have an extensive range of menus and work with our clients to provide for their culinary needs, with enthusiasm and creativity. Flexibility and attention to detail are at the heart of the catering operation and the team can provide anything from cocktails and canapés, to fork buffets and five course fine dining.
