The Abbey School hosted an Oxbridge evening for 90 of the area’s brightest sixth formers from The Abbey, Reading School, Kendrick, Maiden Erlegh, Prospect and Little Heath. All the students have applied to Oxford and Cambridge and the evening was designed to help prepare them for the notoriously rigorous interviews at the universities.
The evening started with two tutors from Oxford University giving an informative talk and conducting mock interviews with current Oxford students in front of their attentive audience. Following this, each student was interviewed in their subject by a member of staff from one of the six participating schools which provided them with real interview practice.
