The Abbey School staged its biennial Gymnastics and Dance display this week involving around 120 girls in a colourful and creative show. The theme this year was ‘The Four Seasons’ and the show opened with a routine called ‘Storm’ that led the audience on a journey through the year.
Several senior girls were involved in choreographing and rehearsing routines and there was a huge array of talent on display. There was high energy and athleticism from aerobic and artistic gymnasts (involving regional and national level performers), cheerleaders, ballet dancers, tap, street and modern routines and a trampette spectacular! In addition, the Junior School Gymnastics Squad (Years 3-6) entertained the audience with a fun group floor routine.
