The Abbey School offers a very special learning environment for girls aged 3-18 years old. Whilst operating very much as one school under Mrs Stanley, the Headmistress, each part of the school has its own very special character. Whilst some girls join in Nursery and continue through to the Sixth Form. many girls join at various ages and we pride ourselves on ensuring new pupils settle in quickly. The girls' excellent examination results enable them to gain entry to the universities and colleges of their choice, while our emphasis on pastoral care is to ensure that all pupils have the happiest educational experience possible. Significant developments to our already outstanding facilities, alongside numerous exciting initiatives that have given The Abbey an increasingly international profile, enable us to continue offering the best in girls’ education into the 21st century.
The Abbey has come to embody education in the broadest and most exciting terms, with an outstanding range of opportunities for all. While our extra-curricular programme incorporates music, drama and sport, all performed to the very highest level, there are countless more unusual activities in addition, as well as many visits throughout this country and abroad, all helping to ensure Abbey pupils receive the most rounded education possible.
